I know it's been a while, so I thought I'd give a bit of an update  on the project.

Currently, the next version of the game is not ready, but it is still being worked on and will hopefully be ready in either a few weeks or months. I haven't been great about giving updates, so I will try to do better going forward. 

After the initial release, which was made with Ren'Py, I realized that Ren'Py is just too limiting for the scope of the project I want to make, so I've remade everything in Godot. The focus so far has been just setting everything up so that future updates don't have to take half a year to finish, and so far I'd say it's already a better game than the last one. There is a small story update with it, and a big update to the phone UI, so I can confidently say that, when it releases, there will be a bit more to do than the first release.
